# FAQS

Are the awards open to all businesses?  
The awards are for all existing Ecologi business customers only.

Do businesses have to pay to enter?  
No. The Ecologi For Our Planet Awards are FREE.

What are the criteria for the awards?  
The Gold Award is awarded to businesses who have measured their carbon footprint, set reduction targets and started to achieve reductions in emissions, whilst funding global climate action.

The Silver Award is awarded to businesses who have measured their carbon footprint and set reduction targets, whilst funding global climate action.

The Bronze Award is awarded to businesses who have made the commitment to funding global climate action who have funded in the top percentile relative to their company turnover.

How have the criteria been set?  
We’ve set the criteria for the For Our Planet Awards to be science-based, prioritising the most important steps for businesses to take in measuring and reducing their emissions, whilst remaining inclusive to a wide range of businesses who are working toward their sustainability goals.

Our internal team set the criteria based on rewarding businesses with the Gold Award for displaying the highest level of ambition and impactful effort for businesses (through setting ambitious emissions reduction targets, and demonstrating progress against them). The Silver Award is designed to reward businesses who are advancing on the right track (through measuring and setting targets) and the Bronze Award is to reward businesses for taking the first step (funding climate projects).

How should I decide which award to enter?  
Please read our detailed explanations on the criteria and evidence required on our entry forms before you choose which award to enter your business into.

What if I apply for an award but don’t meet all the criteria?  
Based on the evidence supplied the judges will make a final decision. For example if a business enters the Gold category but they don’t meet all the criteria they still might still meet the criteria for a Silver or Bronze award. The judges’ decision is final and cannot be disputed.

What do winners receive?  
Winners receive their Gold, SIlver or Bronze Award digitally. There will be a dedicated business communications toolkit for winners to share on your social channels and website. The Ecologi For Our Planet awards winners will be promoted on Ecologi’s website, social channels and email database. We will also select our ‘Top Pick’ winners for a dedicated video and written case study feature on our blog which will further be promoted throughout 2024

When do the awards open and close?  
The awards are open from midnight 28th February to Midnight 27th March 2024

Will I receive confirmation of my entry?  
Yes you will received a confirmation entry screen as well as a confirmation email

When will the winners be announced?  
All winners will be notified in advance a week before 15th April and publicly announced on Earth Day 22nd April 2024 on the Ecologi website and our social channels
